La Perla, naturally, stocks a huge selection of Latin American wines, spirits and beers, but it’s particularly famous for its cocktails, many of which are included in its very budget-friendly happy hour bar offer. All the old classics are there, including a range of margaritas, cuba libre, fruit daiquiris, piña colada, mojito and pisco sour. There are officially five types of tequila: blanco, joven, reposado, añejo and extra añejo. La Perla serves four of the five categories, the most prestigious of which, the extra añejo, is matured in oak casks for more than three years. In total, La Perla stocks over 60 different types. If you order La Perla’s most expensive tequilas, it comes with a little something extra – your name goes up for posterity on the wall of the bar! In addition to tequila, you can sample imported mezcals, Mexico’s other great spirit.
