Fancy for a happy hour Paris? The past two years and more have been tough in so many ways. Thankfully, La Perla, one of Paris\u2019 most famous Mexican institutions is now having an extended happy hour every single week-day (excluding public holidays), so you can kick back and forget your troubles in one of the most hip districts of Paris, the Bohemian Marais quarter.<\/p>\n

A massive range of authentic South American cocktails<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La Perla, naturally, stocks a huge selection<\/a> of Latin American wines, spirits and beers, but it\u2019s particularly famous for its cocktails, many of which are included in its very budget-friendly happy hour bar offer. All the old classics are there, including a range of margaritas, cuba libre, fruit daiquiris, pi\u00f1a colada, mojito and pisco sour. As you\u2019d expect, the menu features some Mexican cocktails you may be less familiar with, including the \u2018La Perla\u2019, the bar\u2019s very own invention \u2013 a delicious mix of Tequila Ocho Blanco, Martini Dry, lime juice and tabasco! Non-alcoholic cocktails are also on the menu.<\/p>\n

Enjoy happy hour Paris, Marais-style in a wonderfully Latin ambiance<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La Perla bar is one of Paris\u2019 foremost Mexican bars and restaurants. First opened in 1988, it\u2019s been serving up a slice of Mexican and tropical \u00a0life ever since. Located between the H\u00f4tel de Ville and St Paul, it\u2019s much loved for its cosy ambiance, Latin American soundtracks and d\u00e9cor, authentic, home-made Mexican cuisine, outside seating and last but not least, its generous happy hour bar offer during week-day evenings.<\/p>\n

Specialists in Tequila<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Tequila is widely seen as Mexico\u2019s national drink, to the extent that the third Saturday in March is now officially celebrated internationally as National Tequila Day. It will therefore come as no surprise that during the La Perla bar happy hour, tequila has pride of place in many of the cocktails on offer, as well as there being a wide range of tequilas to savour on their own.<\/p>\n

\"Large<\/a><\/p>\n

No other bar in France does tequila quite like La Perla \u2013 it\u2019s official!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

La Perla has been given Award<\/a> T Certification by the Tequila Regulatory Council, an honour shared by only a handful of bars in the world outside of Mexico (and no other bar in France). This is in recognition of the commitment to and specialist knowledge of tequila shown by the staff of the bar.<\/p>\n

Tequila \u2013 it\u2019s more complex than you think!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

There are officially five types of tequila: blanco, joven, reposado, a\u00f1ejo and extra a\u00f1ejo. La Perla serves four of the five categories, the most prestigious of which, the extra a\u00f1ejo, is matured in oak casks for more than three years. In total, La Perla stocks over 60 different types. If you order La Perla\u2019s most expensive tequilas, it comes with a little something extra \u2013 your name goes up for posterity on the wall of the bar! In addition to tequila, you can sample imported mezcals, Mexico\u2019s other great spirit.<\/p>\n

Happy hour Paris : it\u2019s fiesta time!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Mexicans are known for their joie de vivre, so an evening out at La Perla, especially during happy hour in Paris, promises a fun time. The Marais is already well-known as a party destination, Spring is in the air, the evenings are getting warmer and lighter, and the idea of sitting out in the open-air and doing some people-watching whilst sipping something refreshing feels like just the ticket! The gradual relaxation of Covid restrictions is sure to add to the ambiance \u2013 finally, something to really celebrate!<\/p>\n

Mexican cuisine is one of the most famous of all \u2018world cuisines\u2019 and has been a hit globally for decades. Hearty, spicy and filling, it\u2019s a firm favourite in France as well.
